AIA Participates in the Solidarity Forum of NGOs from Member States of the Organization of Turkic States

The Solidarity Forum of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) from the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) began its work today in Baku, jointly organized by the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, TIKA, and the "Common Values" Public Union. At the official opening of the event, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan – Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev read out the address of President Ilham Aliyev to the participants of the Solidarity Forum of NGOs from OTS member states.

The forum, to which a delegation led by Elmar Mirsalayev, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Insurers Association (ASA), was invited, is attended by more than 500 civil society representatives from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Hungary, Turkmenistan, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

It is expected that as a result of the Forum, a Platform for NGOs of OTS member states will be established. Azerbaijan will lead the Platform, which will unite NGOs from 8 countries.
