New Chairman and Secretary-General Elected for the Turkic World Insurance Association

During the 2nd Assembly of the Turkic World Insurance Association held in Gaziantep, Türkiye, a vote was conducted for the position of Chairman of the Association.

According to information provided by the Azerbaijan Insurers Association, Atilla Benli, former President of the Insurance Association of Türkiye, was nominated for the presidency and was unanimously elected as the new Chairman of the Turkic World Insurance Association.

It was noted in the statement that Mammad Aghayev, Advisor to the Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Insurers Association, was nominated for the post of Secretary-General of the Turkic World Insurance Association and was unanimously approved by the vote of the founders.

Additionally, a joint decision was adopted by the members during the event to host the 3rd Assembly of the Turkic World Insurance Association in Uzbekistan in 2027.

It should be noted that the Turkic World Insurance Association was established in 2022 upon the joint initiative and decision of the insurance associations of Azerbaijan and Türkiye. During its 1st Assembly held in Shusha, Azerbaijan, in 2025, the Association was re-established in line with the objectives and principles of the Organization of Turkic States.
