AIA Announces Winners of Writing Contest

The Azerbaijan Insurers Association (AIA) has held an award ceremony for the winners of a writing contest organized among journalists on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the National Press.

Elmar Mirsalayev, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Insurers Association, opened the event with a welcoming speech, congratulating the journalists on both the 150th anniversary of the National Press and their achievements in the contest. He wished them continued success in their future endeavors. In his address, the Executive Director emphasized the invaluable role and importance of the media in promoting and raising awareness about insurance and expressed his sincere gratitude for their support.

During the award ceremony for the contest themed “Life Risks of Borrowers and Insurance Coverage,” special plaques and cash prizes were presented to the winners of the first, second, and third places. Participants who ranked in the next four positions received certificates and cash prizes, while three other participants were awarded valuable gifts.

The winners of the writing contest were:

1st place: Rahim Tariverdiyev, economics correspondent at “APA” Information Agency;

2nd place: Ilaha Mammadli, Deputy Editor-in-Chief at “Report” Information Agency;

3rd place: Ilhama Abdullayeva, Editor-in-Chief at the news portal “Ena.az.”
Certificates and cash prizes were awarded to Yagut Agashahgizi, economics correspondent for the newspaper “Iki sahil”; Zarina Orudjaliyeva, reporter for the news site “Minval.az”; Vafa Shahla, Editor-in-Chief of the “ATV” channel; and Mehin Gasimova, editor of the news portal “Banco.az.” Valuable gifts were presented to Narmin Gani, director of the financial portal “Kommersant.az”; Zulfiya Guluyeva, correspondent of the news agency “Qafqazinfo.az”; and Servana Remikhanova, staff member of the news portal “Valyuta.az.”

It should be noted that this writing contest was organized within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Insurers Association, and the Compulsory Insurance Bureau. The memorandum aims to systematically and consistently implement activities to raise insurance literacy, awareness, promotion, and preventive measures.
